Everdigm Hydraulic Breakers

Everdigm Corporation

Korean precision — hydraulic breakers and attachments engineered for demanding global markets

Overview

Everdigm Corporation is a South Korean manufacturer of hydraulic breakers and construction attachments, founded in 1993 and headquartered in Changwon, South Korea. The company produces a comprehensive range of hydraulic breakers from mini to ultra-heavy class, alongside vibratory hammers, compactors, and other hydraulic attachments. Everdigm products are distributed in over 80 countries and the brand is particularly well established in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

History

Everdigm was established in 1993 in Changwon, South Korea — a major industrial city in South Gyeongsang Province with a strong manufacturing base in heavy equipment and machinery. The company was founded during a period of rapid growth in the Korean construction equipment sector, building on the engineering expertise concentrated in the Changwon industrial complex. Through the late 1990s and 2000s, Everdigm invested heavily in R&D and manufacturing quality, developing proprietary technologies including its SB (Silent Breaker) series and advanced accumulator systems. The company expanded its product portfolio beyond hydraulic breakers to include a full range of hydraulic attachments, positioning itself as a one-stop supplier for excavator attachment needs. Everdigm established a global distribution network and gained OEM supply relationships with major excavator manufacturers, significantly raising its international profile. By the 2010s, Everdigm had become one of the leading Korean hydraulic breaker manufacturers, competing directly with Soosan, NPK, and Daemo in the mid-to-premium segment of the global market.

Key Technologies

Auto-stroke control system

Everdigm's auto-stroke system continuously adjusts piston stroke length based on material hardness and resistance. In hard rock, the system extends the stroke to maximise impact energy; in softer material, it shortens the stroke to increase blow frequency. This optimises productivity across varying ground conditions without operator adjustment.

Nitrogen gas accumulator

Everdigm breakers use a high-pressure nitrogen accumulator that stores and releases energy during each impact cycle. The accumulator supplements hydraulic pressure during the power stroke, increasing peak impact energy and maintaining consistent blow frequency even when hydraulic flow fluctuates.

Integrated anti-blank-firing valve

Everdigm's anti-blank-firing system uses a dedicated hydraulic valve that detects loss of tool contact with the material and immediately reduces impact frequency. This protects the breaker's internal components — particularly the piston, front head bushing, and retaining pins — from accelerated wear caused by unloaded strikes.

Monoblock front head design

Selected Everdigm models use a monoblock front head machined from a single forged steel billet, eliminating the bolted joint between the cylinder and front head found in conventional designs. This reduces the risk of front-head cracking under high-cycle fatigue loading and simplifies field maintenance.
